Dr. John J. Udofa is by training, a Professional Accountant, Chartered Tax Practitioner, Management Scientist and a thorough bred Banker. He obtained MBA from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree in Management Science (Banking and Finance) from St. Clements University –British West Indies.

He is an alumnus of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) Laussane, Switerland and the Executive Program (CEP) for the Lagos Business School. He has 25 years post graduation-banking experience. Worked in two (2) major banking institutions namely, ICON Limited and Development Bank Plc where he was part of the Executive Management Team for twelve (12) years, 5 of which he has the Chief Executive Officer. He is strong in corporate Policy Development and Strategy.

During this period, he has had wide experience in almost all the key Banking Department such as Credit and Marketing, Treasury and Financial Services, International Trade and Foreign Exchange dealings.

Dr. John Udofa was at various times Assistant general manager/Head Corporate Banking Division, Deputy General manager/head Corporate Finance and Credit Division. He was appointed General Manager/Acting Managing Director/Chief Executive officer in March 2001 and confirmed substantive Managing Director/Chief Executive of Co-operative Development Bank Plc in July 2002 a position he held until December 2005 when the bank merged with first City Monument Bank Plc.

Dr. Udofa is currently the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Havard Investment and Securities Ltd. – a management/financial Consulting/Advisory firm.
